Why we love this wine
Grapes & TerroirGrape variety: 100% Barbera. Origins: The vineyards are located in Alba and Diano d’Alba villages. Type of soil: limestone/calcareous. Harvesting time: mid-end of September.
Winemaking8-10 days in steel tanks with carefully controlled temperature. Ageing: After malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged for 12- 14 months in new French oak of 400 litres. Bottling takes place after the necessary fining in barrel; at least 3 months before release.
TastingColour: intense, ruby red. Nose: pleasingly reminiscent of raspberries, red fruits, delicate yet intense. Palate: dry, well balanced, full of body.
Wine & Food PairingThe Barbera is a fine match with meat dishes, and wonderful on its own.
