  • Grapes & Terroir

    We were introduced to Mauro Sebaste by a much beloved and highly knowledgeable friend who lives south of the Alba located winery. On this trusted recommendation, we tasted Mauro’s wines and were immediately enthralled by the refined flavour palates. We are excited to exclusively bring this wine to Australia, handled with care and temperature controlled shipping from Italy. Cuneo province, found in Italy’s Piedmont region, is an exceptionally old wine production area where land is tightly held by a handful of prestigious vignerons. Mauro Sebaste’s 30 hectares of vines span three different soil typologies, producing small parcels of grapes that perfectly articulate the diversity of the place in which they grow. The Nebbiolo and Barbera vineyards are located in Alba and Diano d’Alba villages, set in limestone soil.
  • Viticulture

    The Barolo wine region in Piedmont, is arguably the most famous DOCG in Italy. One of the longest ripening varieties in the region, Barolo must be produced from 100% Nebbiolo and only from the strictly delimited hills surrounding 11 local towns. Trè-surì is a nod to the three different Mauro Sebaste vineyards, each with excellent exposure to the sun, each one with its own characteristics, combining to seed this exquisite Barolo.

    The Barolo is a fine and elegant wine with beautiful shades of cherry, rose and sweet liquorice, full bodied with soft and elegant tannins. As with all of Mauro's wines, this Tresuri Barolo is very approachable now due to its youthful balance, freshness and fruitiness. Recommended cellar age 2023-2035+ will add smooth complexity…without losing its youthful characteristics. The Nebbiolo Parigi is rated 92 pts by James Suckling: 'This has some really pretty blueberry lift to it, as well as dried violets and lavender. Muscular tannins navigate a wreath of neatly layered, bright fruit and acid crunch.' The Barbera is a rare find! Exclusive access to this Alba grown Barbera...rich and herbaceous, yet smooth bodied.
