Why we love this wine

• Grapes & Terroir

  The Chapman family is ultra-fastidious in its organic vineyard to ensure the fruit has intense concentration of flavour. The warm days and cool nights provide ripe, rich fruit while also retaining fresh acidity.
• Winemaking

  Cool fermentation of optimally ripened grapes fills this wine with beautiful aromas of citrus while the palate is refreshing and crisp. The aim is to make a pure style of Riesling with no botrytis influence - picked in the cool to maintain freshness, before pressing to tank and chilling for 2-3 days. Clear juice was then racked off and warmed to allow fermentation to begin.
• Tasting

  On the nose this wine shows Gala apple, lemon zest and lime characters with nuances of floral and spice. The palate delivers excellent concentration and focus together with a beautifully flowing mouthfeel, wonderfully complemented by whispering sweetness and crisp acidity.

  Terrific drinking, lightly chilled as an aperitif or with lighter dishes.
