Grapes & Terroir
An exciting premium red varietal grown widely in Austria. It produces dark skinned berries with smooth velvety tannins. Genetically it is thought to be a ‘wild cousin’ of Pinot Noir. -
Winemaking
Hand-harvested and fermented with indigenous yeast, then matured in French oak for 11 months (25% new), this wine then undergoes natural malolactic fermentation. -
Tasting
Sweetly fruited and inviting on the nose with Black Doris plum, blueberry, violet and toasted almond character. It is beautifully rounded on the palate, delivering bright fruit intensity and polished tannins. -
